Welcome to the Zelda’s Peaches and Biscuits Podcast! The first of the FitzMuse Podcast Network.

Dr. Alaina Doten, Executive Director of the Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum, and Maire Martello, author, playwright and Zelda researcher, are your co-hosts. Alaina is from Montgomery and spent her childhood in and around the Old Cloverdale Neighborhood, home to the Fitzgerald Museum. Maire moved from New York City a little over a year ago to the Cloverdale area to do research on Zelda.

Our goal is embark on a journey and discovery of all things Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald. The podcast will begin with Zelda’s childhood in Montgomery, Alabama in the early 1900s and work its way thru each phase of her life.

We will be using a variety of Zelda biographies for reference and clues. We are particularly fond of Sara Mayfield’s Exiles in Paradise, and will be using it to discover the Montgomery of Zelda’s childhood but also recommend the following:

Zelda by Nancy Milford

Zelda Fitzgerald: Her Voice in Paradise by Sally Cline

The Subversive Art of Zelda Fitzgerald by Deborah Pike
